JetBlue has launched bookings for its new domestic first-class product, branded BlueFirst, across more than 30 routes. The commercial debut is scheduled for December 8 on the sector connecting Boston Logan International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, before expanding to New York LaGuardia and regional destinations across Latin America and the Caribbean. The carrier is retrofitting aircraft that do not feature its Mint lie-flat cabin. Airbus A220-300 and Airbus A320 aircraft will be configured with 12 seats across three rows in a 2-2 layout. The larger Airbus A321 fleet will feature 16 seats in four rows. The product provides five inches of recline, up to seven inches of additional legroom over Main cabin seating, and 13.3-inch inflight screens with Bluetooth capability. Fresh meal services are scheduled on sectors of 1,146 km (899 miles) or greater. BlueFirst represents a primary operational pillar of the JetForward restructuring plan led by chief executive Joanna Geraghty.
Why it matters for your training
