Jetblue is scheduled to inaugurate its new domestic business class cabin, officially named Blue First, on 8 December. The airline has designated the sector between Boston and Fort Lauderdale to host the very first regular commercial flight featuring this new onboard product. Following this inaugural service, selected flights linking Fort Lauderdale and New York-LaGuardia will also introduce the offering within just a few days.
At present, passengers are already able to book travel in the Blue First cabin across more than 30 routes across the airline's schedule. Referred to as First Class within the United States market, this newly announced travel class is slated to be phased in gradually across aircraft in the fleet that are not equipped with Jetblue's existing Mint premium cabin product.
Through this phased introduction, Jetblue plans to expand its premium seating options beyond its current operations. The carrier intends to deploy this elevated product onto additional domestic connections, while also extending the upscale seating capacity to routes serving destinations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
