To sustain its ongoing fleet growth and rising passenger traffic, Emirates will conduct screening events in the Philippines on October 28 and 29, 2026. Organized in Manila alongside Industrial Personnel and Management Services Inc. (IPAMS), the initiative targets first officers, direct entry captains, and candidates eligible for the Accelerated Command Program.
A dedicated track focuses on experienced narrowbody captains wanting immediate transition to left-seat duties across the carrier's widebody aircraft. Recruited flight crews will reside in Dubai and complete instruction inside the new $135 million Crew Training Centre, which features six full-flight simulator bays for the Airbus A350 and Boeing 777X.
The carrier currently operates 27 Airbus A350s, with 47 remaining on order alongside 270 pending Boeing 777X airframes. Crew packages include tax-free compensation, company housing, child education coverage, insurance, and 42 annual leave days. Emirates maintains 32 weekly services linking Dubai to Manila, Cebu, and Clark.
This campaign follows regional crew movements after military strikes on Iran on February 28, 2026, prompted expat departures across the Gulf, where Dubai International Airport operated near 70% capacity during early hostilities before conditions stabilized.
