The government of Argentina has formally granted regulatory authorization to the Chilean air carrier Jetsmart Airlines to conduct domestic air services across Argentine territory. According to reports from the portal Aviacionline, the official decree was officially promulgated in the country's official gazette on October 14.
This regulatory measure establishes traffic rights encompassing the third through the ninth freedoms of the air. Under the terms of this published decree, the Chilean carrier receives legal clearance to operate both cross-border international routes and domestic cabotage flights inside Argentina.
The authorization applies specifically to the Chilean parent entity, Jetsmart Airlines, rather than its subsidiary in Argentina. The Argentine branch is already active with commercial flights in the country, holding its own operating certificate and utilizing aircraft based locally.
