According to 2026 schedule data compiled by OAG, Ryanair conducts an average of 3,272 daily flight movements, representing a four percent growth compared to the preceding year. The airline now accounts for roughly one in six short-haul departures across the European continent. Operating an all-Boeing fleet of 737-800 and 737 Max 8-200 aircraft, the carrier maintains an average cabin density of 191 seats per departure, capturing an 18 percent market share of total short-haul seat capacity.
Despite this overall expansion, the carrier is fully exiting twelve airports during 2026. The airline halted services to Vigo in January, followed in March by Clermont-Ferrand, Asturias, Ponta Delgada, and Terceira. Operations to Amman were suspended in March, with all 18 routes removed from schedules until at least late summer 2027. Service to Rodez ceased in August, while rotations to Bodrum, Dalaman, Niš, Kalamata, and Volos conclude by late October 2026.
Ryanair also announced its total departure from Bremen Airport on 27 March 2027, concluding with flight FR3633 to London-Stansted. Management cited excessive station costs, pointing specifically to elevated air navigation charges, local security and airport fees, and national aviation taxes.
