Qatar Airways filed adjustments for its Northern winter schedule, resulting in a 5.7% decrease in departures from Doha compared to its initial plan. The carrier projects 38825 passenger flights and 11050938 seats from its hub, representing a 1.4% reduction in available capacity.
Eleven destinations remain suspended across the network, including Cebu, Hamburg, Kano, Malta, Sofia, and Venice Marco Polo. In addition, services to Mashhad, Shiraz, and Tehran Imam Khomeini remain listed in schedules but unavailable for passenger reservations.
Fleet and frequency changes affect multiple intercontinental sectors:
- North American operations reflect cuts on 777-300ER services, with New York JFK reduced to 14 weekly flights, Seattle trimmed to 5 weekly departures, and Washington Dulles brought to daily service. On Dallas/Ft. Worth, a 777-200LR replaces an A350-1000.
- European destinations see increased frequencies, including Berlin reaching 21 weekly flights with 787-8 and 787-9 aircraft, Vienna expanding to 13 weekly, and London Heathrow operating up to 56 weekly flights, featuring A380 rotations.
- Asian routes include Bangkok Suvarnabhumi restoring a sixth daily flight with stepped up A380 capacity, alongside added frequencies to Kuala Lumpur.
- African sectors see enhanced 787-8 operations to Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kinshasa, and Luanda.
