Norse Atlantic Airways has reached an ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, Insurance) agreement with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to support long-haul operations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
Under this wet-lease contract, Norse Atlantic will provide two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners along with flight crew, maintenance support, and insurance starting in early November 2026. The specific city pairs, flight schedules, and overall contract duration have not been disclosed by the carriers.
For PIA, headed by Amir Hayat, the partnership adds widebody capacity on high-demand British routes while navigating operational and regulatory restrictions currently affecting its own long-haul fleet.
For Norse Atlantic, the agreement enhances asset utilization across its Boeing 787 fleet. Executive Eivind Roald indicated that wet-lease and full-charter agreements represent a strategic pillar alongside scheduled services, with talks ongoing for further ACMI partnerships internationally.
