**Lufthansa's Dilemma with Early 777-9s**
Lufthansa, the launch customer for the Boeing 777X, is now in talks with Boeing about the fate of the first 777-9s already built. CEO Carsten Spohr confirmed on August 6 that the airline is deciding which aircraft will not enter commercial service and which can be upgraded, with Boeing covering the costs.
