Eurowings will proceed with the rollout of its new Premium Biz Seat cabin product starting 1 December 2026. The upgraded seating will enter scheduled operations on flights connecting Berlin to Dubai. The Lufthansa subsidiary also plans to deploy the product on routes from Berlin and Düsseldorf to London Heathrow and Mallorca, as well as on services between Düsseldorf and Málaga.
However, the overall scale of the cabin modification program across the carrier's Airbus A320 Neo fleet remains uncertain. The airline had initially scheduled a phased retrofit of the entire sub-fleet beginning in November. Following the cancellation of planned Dubai routes from Stuttgart and Cologne/Bonn, management is re-examining the total number of aircraft requiring cabin conversion, a company spokesperson confirmed.
The cabin modification targets the forward section of the Airbus A320 Neo. Technicians will replace the current 2-3 layout across the first two rows with a dedicated 2-2 arrangement. This cabin reconfiguration reduces the total seat count in those front rows from 18 to eight seats.
Why it matters for your training
Cabin interior reconfigurations alter aircraft empty weight, balance envelopes, and passenger capacity, which directly affect operational load sheets and performance calculations for line crews.
