Embraer expands E2 operations with LATAM as deliveries rise in 2026
LATAM Airlines has taken delivery of its first E195-E2 in Brazil as Embraer consolidates its commercial business and targets up to 85 deliveries in 2026.
During the handover of LATAM Airlines' first E195-E2 in Brazil, Embraer Chief Executive Francisco Gomes Neto highlighted the manufacturer's recovery following the termination of the planned Boeing partnership. Boeing had agreed in 2018 to purchase an 80% stake in Embraer's commercial aviation division for US$4.2 billion, before abandoning the transaction in April 2020.
Embraer now operates as an independent entity, with annual revenues climbing by nearly US$1 billion each year since 2022. The airframer recorded US$7.4 billion in 2025 and projects nearly US$8.5 billion for 2026. For the current year, Embraer forecasts between 80 and 85 commercial deliveries spanning both E1 and E2 jets, though component shortages in the supply chain continue to limit output acceleration.
The introduction of the E195-E2 into LATAM's fleet provides the E2 family with a tier-one regional operator capable of adding frequencies and developing regional routes. The program currently gathers approximately 500 orders from 25 customers worldwide. Looking ahead, Embraer sees fleet replacement and capacity expansion opportunities across Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, and the Caribbean, supported by BNDES financing and diplomatic sales efforts.
