Air France has announced a refreshed range of amenity kits for its long-haul premium cabins — La Première, Business, and Premium (Premium Economy). These kits, designed with the airline's signature navy, white, and red stripes, are made predominantly from recycled materials. The carrier emphasizes that the kits are meant to be kept and reused after the flight, aligning with broader sustainability goals.
For La Première passengers, the kit is a high-end cosmetic case resembling a luxury leather accessory, featuring a rotating design in Air France red and pearl grey, adorned with the winged seahorse logo. Inside, four Sisley skincare products are included: a hydrating hand and nail cream, an eye contour balm, an intense anti-aging Hydra-Global treatment, and the All Day All Year anti-aging care. The kit also contains an Air France La Première pen, a wooden comb, earplugs, and a sleep mask.
In Business class, the kit is refreshed every six months, with a light grey version for summer 2026 and a navy blue one for winter 2026-2027. Over 90% of the materials are recycled, and the design features a contemporary weave and the winged seahorse. Long-time partner Clarins provides two mini treatments: an Éclair Beauty Balm and an anti-puffiness eye cooling gel, both composed of 96% natural-origin ingredients. The kit also includes earplugs, a recycled sleep mask, a bamboo toothbrush, organic toothpaste made in France, and recycled socks.
For Premium Economy, the kit is a sleek pouch made entirely from recycled materials, including felt, available in two color combinations. It contains travel essentials: earplugs, a bamboo toothbrush with organic French toothpaste, recycled socks, and a sleep mask.
Air France is also reducing single-use plastics: the plastic wrapping of each kit has been replaced by an integrity seal, and the systematic cleaning and detection of headphones eliminates the need for disposable earphone covers and their packaging. These steps are part of the airline's daily efforts to cut waste and improve the environmental footprint of its onboard service.
**Why this matters for ATPL/ATC students:**
Understanding premium cabin service evolution is relevant for future pilots and controllers who will interact with passengers and crew in a high-end environment. The focus on sustainability also reflects industry trends that affect operational procedures, waste management, and customer expectations — all topics that may appear in airline interviews or CRM scenarios.
