US business aviation provider PlaneSense is equipping its entire fleet with the Gogo Galileo satellite connectivity solution. The fleet upgrade encompasses 71 aircraft in total, comprising 51 Pilatus PC-12 turboprops and 20 Pilatus PC-24 light jets. Furthermore, all future aircraft deliveries joining the fleet will also receive this hardware.

According to the operator's deployment timeline, the first Pilatus PC-24 featuring the system will be delivered in late October 2026. At the same time, PlaneSense will launch the retrofit program across its active business jet fleet. Modifications on the Pilatus PC-12 fleet are scheduled to commence in November, with the carrier planning to complete all fleet retrofits by the end of 2027.

Technically, Gogo Galileo relies on the OneWeb low Earth orbit satellite network operated by Eutelsat. The onboard installation uses the compact HDX antenna system, engineered to deliver broadband internet access with low latency. This configuration enables multiple passengers to conduct video calls and stream content simultaneously during flight.

Why it matters for your training

Avionics and SATCOM antenna retrofits alter structural loads, electrical bus demand, and aircraft mass and balance considerations during line operations.
