Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has finalized an agreement to overhaul the passenger cabins across its Boeing 777 fleet, aiming to upgrade its long-haul offering.
The refurbishment program initially covers five widebody aircraft, while securing options for four additional airframes. To execute this project, the carrier is partnering with Aviationscouts, a German firm operating under the Aerotec Group.
The interior upgrade focuses primarily on the Business Class section, where new lie-flat seating will replace the current configuration. In Economy Class, existing seats will undergo a complete refurbishment rather than full replacement. Across both passenger sections, the operator will introduce 60-watt power outlets, modernized passenger service systems, updated carpeting, and refreshed interior fixtures.
While the initiative targets an improved standard for long-haul operations, PIA has not disclosed a detailed schedule for completing the retrofits.
