Marabu Airlines adds two A320neo aircraft to expand its fleet to 14 in 2027
The leisure carrier will incorporate two additional A320neo airframes in 2027, launch new routes from Nuremberg and revise passenger baggage allowances.
Marabu Airlines plans to expand its fleet in 2027 by integrating two additional Airbus A320neo airframes, bringing its total inventory to 14 aircraft of the type. The carrier, an affiliate of Condor, operated eight aircraft in 2025 before planning an increase to twelve airframes in 2026. This updated trajectory remains slightly below the target of 15 aircraft initially formulated in 2025 for summer 2026 by former chief executive Axel Schefe.
Alongside this fleet expansion, the operator will enlarge its route network out of Nuremberg for the summer 2027 schedule. Marabu will serve Lamezia Terme in southern Italy twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays. The airline will also connect Nuremberg to Preveza in Greece with a single weekly frequency operated on Saturdays.
Operational baggage allowances will also be revised starting 1 May 2027. Passengers booked in applicable Economy Class fares will see their checked allowance raised from 20 kg to 23 kg. In Business Class, the allowance will transition from a single bag capped at 30 kg to two checked items of up to 32 kg each.
