Lufthansa Cargo has presented its winter flight schedule for 2026/2027, effective from 25 October 2026. The carrier expands its Asia-Pacific footprint with up to 46 weekly freighter rotations across 17 destinations. Among the updates, Singapore joins the Frankfurt to Taipei route, adding intra-Asian maindeck capacity, while transpacific operations linking Frankfurt to Los Angeles via Ho Chi Minh City and Shanghai remain at two weekly frequencies. Services to Chengdu, Taipei, and Almaty also continue from Frankfurt.
In India, freighter operations relocated on 12 October from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport to the newly developed Navi Mumbai International Airport, located roughly 30 kilometres east. In addition, SWISS WorldCargo adds Bangalore flights to and from Zurich.
Across the Atlantic, frequencies increase to New York JFK (five weekly), Dallas (four weekly), and Houston (three weekly). Within Europe, Lufthansa Cargo deploys Boeing 777F aircraft on regular services from Frankfurt to Larnaca, Istanbul, and Stavanger. Former Airbus A321F destinations remain supported by long-haul freighters or passenger belly capacity until a new operator is selected for the four narrowbody freighters. The group also leverages new passenger belly capacity to Kuala Lumpur and Santo Domingo.
Why it matters for your training
Route adjustments and hub migrations like Navi Mumbai directly impact cargo flight planning, operational turnarounds, and payload considerations for widebody freighter crews.
