Ethiopian Airlines has updated its flight schedule for the intercontinental service connecting Addis Ababa and Atlanta. The carrier is enacting a temporary seasonal suspension on this long-haul connection in 2027, marking the second consecutive year that this transatlantic operation has been paused during these specific months.

The temporary cancellation concerns the 3 weekly flights operated on the route. According to the published update, the operational suspension takes effect from 01FEB27 and continues through 15MAY27, determined by flight departures from Addis Ababa. Before this scheduled halt, the operational program focuses on the month of January 2027.

In terms of routing, the service features flight ET518 heading westbound from Addis Ababa with an intermediate stop at Rome Fiumicino before continuing to Atlanta. In the opposite direction, flight ET519 operates directly from Atlanta to Addis Ababa.
