Emirates inaugurates daily Dubai-Helsinki route with Airbus A350-900
Emirates has commenced daily year-round operations between Dubai and Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, deploying its Airbus A350-900 to expand its scheduled network across the Nordic region.
Emirates launched nonstop daily services linking Dubai and Helsinki on 2 October, establishing the carrier's first direct commercial connection between the United Arab Emirates and Finland. The inaugural service, operating as flight EK 167, landed at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport at 13:30 local time, where it was met by airport authorities, diplomatic officials, and airline executives.
The service operates year-round using Airbus A350-900 aircraft configured with 298 seats across three cabin classes: Business, Premium Economy, and Economy. The airline reported that passengers on the inaugural flight originated from more than 20 countries, connecting through Dubai from origins such as Mumbai, Taipei, Ho Chi Minh City, and Sydney.
Helsinki joins Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo in the carrier's Northern European route network. According to Adnan Kazim, Vice President and CFO of Emirates, the new route integrates Finland into the carrier's global destination network while addressing demand for commerce, business travel, and tourism.
