According to schedule information reported by the portal Aero Routes, Emirates is reorganizing its planned fleet deployment involving the Airbus A350-900 across specific international sectors.

On the scheduled route connecting Dubai, Larnaca, and Malta under flight numbers EK109 and EK110, the Gulf carrier will not introduce the Airbus A350-900 on 25 October 2026 as previously scheduled. The operational introduction of the aircraft type on this multi-leg route has been postponed to 1 January 2027. Until that newly scheduled date, Emirates is set to continue operating the Boeing 777-300ER on the Dubai–Larnaca–Malta service.

In contrast, the airline has adjusted the schedule for the sector linking Dubai with Addis Ababa. On the EK723 and EK724 rotations, the Airbus A350-900 is now scheduled to enter commercial service earlier, beginning on 1 November. With this adjustment, the Airbus A350-900 will take over the route from the Boeing 777-200LR, replacing the aircraft on the scheduled service between Dubai and Addis Ababa.
