British Airways is significantly expanding its transatlantic schedule between London Heathrow (LHR) and St. Louis International Airport (STL) for the summer 2027 season. The carrier plans to increase frequencies from four weekly flights to a daily rotation across four months, delivering an 80% boost in capacity and more than 35,400 additional seats compared to summer 2026.

Inaugurated on April 19, 2026, the service represents the sole nonstop air link between the United Kingdom and the state of Missouri. According to the revised schedule, operations will step up to five weekly flights on March 28, 2027. The airline will then operate daily rotations during two peak periods: from April 19 to June 28, and again between September 6 and October 30.

All flights remain operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner widebodies configured with First, Club World, World Traveller Plus, and World Traveller cabins. Representatives from Explore St. Louis and Greater St. Louis, Inc. emphasized that this early capacity ramp-up reinforces local business ties with European markets.
