Austrian Airlines has expanded its fleet with the arrival of another Airbus A320neo at Vienna Airport. The aircraft, registered OE-LXG and also designated X-Ray Golf, arrived directly from the Airbus facility at Hamburg Finkenwerder and touched down on runway 16 around 17:00. Like the previous addition OE-LXF, delivered in early September, this twin-engine jet is powered by CFM LEAP engines and features onboard Starlink internet equipment.

AUA Technik personnel are currently preparing the aircraft to Austrian Airlines fleet standards. Commercial line service is scheduled to commence within the next 10 to 14 days.

This arrival brings the Austrian carrier to a total of seven A320neo aircraft in service. Among this group, five airframes are equipped with Pratt & Whitney engines. Austrian Airlines plans to hand over these five Pratt & Whitney-powered jets progressively to Swiss Lufthansa subsidiary Edelweiss, replacing them systematically with incoming aircraft fitted with CFM LEAP powerplants.
